SustainLex: A tool to navigate European sustainability regulations
In the context of a European Union particularly active on the front of environmental and social sustainability policies, companies face a complex regulatory framework: regulations, directives, and technical standards that rewrite the rules of production and consumption through a sustainable lens.
To help companies navigate this “puzzle,” we developed SustainLex, a tool designed to allow companies to conduct an initial positioning assessment against the main European sustainability regulatory obligations applicable to their business profile.
In a few simple steps, SustainLex allows you to:
- simplify the understanding of a complex and continuously evolving regulatory framework;
- enable preliminary self-assessment of applicable regulatory obligations based on the company profile;
- help companies navigate the various measures and actions available to ensure regulatory compliance, including with regard to future obligations;
- support strategic business decision-making and sustainability planning by taking into account the level of sustainability activities already in place.
SustainLex is a dynamic tool, continuously updated, adaptable to specific regulatory areas, and integrable with other tools in our ecosystem.
It is based on the main European regulations in its database, does not include local or national sources, and is therefore not intended to guarantee companies’ compliance with applicable law, but solely to provide guidance, useful for setting up a structured pathway with the support of our consulting teams.
